Tomcat

My wife and I live in Anchorage and are interested in learning more about the Tomcat. Looks like a great boat for the Alaskan waters. We welcome all input and advice.

Welcome to the C-Brats.

If you type 'Tom Cat' in the search box (top left of the page), you can read many threads about the Tom Cat.

The brat map lists three Tomcat's in Alaska. Nani69 is in Anchorage.

I learned a great deal about Tomcats before buying mine just by going through all the threads, and then asking a few questions on the forum

Hi and Welcome to C-BRATS. This is a great place, good folks and all teh info you could possible want or need about TomCats here.

Go up to the "Search" button, click on it and under the blue wide line that says "Search Query" type in Tomcat AND speeds (or fuel or anyother one word that you are looking for specifically).

Use "AND" (yes in Caps) to put two words together.

You may find Tomcat, TomCat or Tom Cat bring up more and different threads.

Type your search words into the top query box, and then

click on the button infront of the "Search for all terms" line.

You will have enough reading for a week or two once you get the hang of the search function.

Welcome aboard. There are several varieties of the Tomcat. One is the 255 which we normally associate with the name and picture and is current production. There is the 24 which was the earlier boat--same hull, but a different cabin, and no bracket, so less usable cockpit space. There is the 30 foot catamaran, which in its most recent con-figuration is the ChikKat 30 by Blackfeather out of Juneau--and is not in production. These come up for sale occasionally, and have been used mostly for charter fishing.

Good hunting--get a ride on one as soon as you can in the process.
