Happy Thanksgiving to all of the Canucks in the pub! Since Donna is from BC, we get to have two holidays at our house (like I need another excuse to eat a big meal!) so we are making corned beef and cabbage tonight in honor of her Newfie heritage. Hope you all have a great day.

I'll celebrate with ya! My ex is a "blue noser" and my brother lives in Calgary. Always ready to enjoy a good meal.

Thanks for the Happy Thanksgiving wishes. We're just in the process of cooking a nice big meal!! It's nice to be part on an International group so that we can participate in many more celebrations.  I'll be sure to return the best wishes next month.

I have heard of Canucks (don't know what it means really) but have not heard of Newfie or blue-nose.

Newfie is a term a endearment for the people of Newfoundland, heck they even have their own dictionary
Bluenose is an old sailers term for the men of the sea hailing from Nova Scotia.  |
