First and foremost I want to say thank you to Wayne (Little Mac) for the inspiration for this project. I posted some photos in my gallery. I have a large family, myself, my wife and 4 small kids and this conversion will make camping much more comfortable. If anyone is interested in the details let me know and I will gladly walk you through the process...it was very easy.

Jeff

I understand the 4 kids on small boat thing, as I lived through it. You have a good solution, well done.

Just as a matter of curiosity, where do you put the port-a-potty at night? And how do the v-berth occupants get to it? a problem that occurred on any small boat I had.

Hi Boris,

It's a work in progress, but here's the game plan. For know I have a pop-up privacy shower enclosure (see: Leapair on Amazon) which gets set up in the cockpit to house the porta-potty and shower when needed. I left an aisle btw the bed and the counter so movement through the cabin is possible with the bed in place. I'm about to start constructing a fiberglass cockpit cover with the eventual plan on having custom canvas side walls fabricated (basically a custom camperback with a hardtop). Once that is complete I'm going to re-design things to allow for a more comfortable and somewhat climate controlled head for year round boating (except perhaps for January and February). I love the idea of a permanent and enclosed head as you have in the 25, but it was never in the cards for me financially, so time to get creative! Smile I'll post pics as I go.

Jeff

Don't know if it would be a helpful idea at this point, but IIRC, one of our members constructed a convertible stacked Bunk Bed over the dining table several years ago. This would be most useful with small kids, but is an idea.

One could also construct a flat bed over the helm seat and dinette as well.

OK, so now where do we put the Missile Tubes? (Put the head/shower in one of them.) Laughing
