Laurie and I are excited to finally have a Dory of our own. We are looking forward to getting out on the water. This site has been a wonderful resource. We have been "lurking" for awhile. We will be renaming the boat "even keel"

Gregg and Laurie, welcome to our little reality in a box. And if you've been a loyal lurker you know the drill: Brats chime in, say hello, wish you well, ask if you're coming to the next gig and want to know what you like to drink. Cheers to you!

Welcome Gregg and Laurie. It is nice to have another Shoreline Brat in the house. All you need now is a photo album, just ask DeNag or Tyboo.

Welcome Gregg and Laurie, nice to have a new bunch of owners and an "old" experienced boat. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Keep in touch and let us know the stuff you're doing.

Since we are newcomers to boating. We have more questions than answers, but what do you like to drink is a nice easy question to start with. We will post pix when we get the boat. We are having Les do a few modifications when he he gets back. Thanks for the Welcome!

To the crew of Even Keel, That is one nice boat you have found for yourselves, and you have a great neighbor with Anita Marie close by. Welcome to the pub and hope to meet you soon. If you get down in the south sound, let me know and I would love to do some cruising with a boat that has been places that I have only dreamed of going, and a crew that has a great eye for boats. I thought the ? was to me. David and Kate; we have not had much time with the boat yet, but I can tell you the work you guy's did sure brought us to this boat. Very nice. We are looking forward to seeing you all on the water. This seems like a fun group. There is certainly a wealth of knowledge here. By the way I would take a glass of Syrah and Laur would would like a Corona........ |

We welcome you to the C-Dory and C-Brat Family also.
The boat you bought is definitely one of the jewels of the pod here. As for Corona , that's cool too, but am sure you will see hear of ,or hear from the Beer Guys here......... brewers of our "Official C-Brat Brew". Enjoy the new boat , we look forward to meeting you folks for sure.

Oh Geez, you were doing fine right up until the time you mentioned the "C" word... Well, I guess we will have some opportunity to work on her at future CBGTs...(Pat and David are known as "the Beer Guys" - and I DOUBT that much Corona was poured on Anna Leigh, but probably a fair bit of Syrah)

We are looking forward to CBGT's. We are getting very anxious to get the boat in the water. We really are new to boating. Laurie, Luke and I are taking the CGaux boat safety classes in November. You probably will not want us too close to your boats until we get out on Lake WA this Winter and get some experience in avoiding large objects.

Taking the safety class, either CG Aux or Power Squadron is THE single most important thing you can do...you can definitely tell the folks who have taken the course from those who have not, it is pretty obvious out on the water...Don't sell yourself short, it is not rocket science. On the water, #1 is to avoid collisions (but you are taking the course, so you know that). Docking, just SLOW DOWN, easy to tell others and myself that, harder to really do it...
