It's hard to believe that with all the rain we have been having in the North East, that I washed my new CD. (I purchased "Plan-B" from Duane & Joane, last week). My question is does the cabin drain into the bilge anywhere? The water puddles outside the shower sump, step compartment. Also is there any connection between the fuel tank compartment and the bilge? I want to give her a good washdown but I'm not sure if I'll end up with standing water eveywhere. Thanks for the help. _________________ Chuck

Some 25's, including mine, had/have leakage from the rub rail behind the head compartment.
It seems that the factory did not seal the section of hull-to-deck joint that is inaccessable when the boat is assembled.
My dealer removed the rub rail, sealed the joint from the outside, and re-installed it, and that fixed the problem for me.
I hope that is not where your leak is, because it sounds like a real P.I.T.A. to fix.
And yes, all of the under cockpit compartments are connected by limber holes so that they all drain to the sump, but should be sealed-off from the cabin. |
