Has anyone covered the rough fiberglass ceiling onn a Tom Cat 25.5 with some form of headliner? If so what did you do and how did you attach it?
FYI I was up at the factory in Bellingham a couple of months ago and noted on their new TC model that a fabric material with teak 1 1/2 inch boards had been installed as a headliner, and looked pretty good. I think they glued the material to the ceiling, then used short screws through the teak to the underlying fiberglass ceiling.

I'd like to see some pics of that. Is it like the Venture 26 headliner? Or different? _________________ <><><> Jason <><><>

In the past the factory glued up some plywood strips and screwed the material on to them.

There are several ways of putting the ceiling vinyl to the ceiling--both gluing it on and using the "door skins"--about 1/8" thick work.
Be careful with foam backed vinyl. You can get mold growing in that foam. Also the foam can delaminate and the ceiling sag.
The wooden battens support the fabric. _________________ Bob Austin
