I had this center window wiper installed today. It works perfectly and fits the 25 center window nicely (I'm not sure about the 19 or 22 windows).

Good deal! $27 on Amazon. Recommended.

Many of us put very generous coatings of "Rain-X" on the windows--and that seems to help a great deal.

I have never had a center window windshield wiper--in bad conditions, I find myself usually busy with navigation, controlling the boat, etc--and center window visibility is lower on the list than some other things...but if you can make the reach to turn it easily--then it should meet your goal.

I have often thought I would like to have a center window wiper. I use that window frequently to pick my "next 100 feet" when the waves start getting big enough to splash. However, since I single hand mostly, I would not even consider a non-electric. As Bob says, too many other things to be doing when that happens, and I too, use RainX frequently, especially on that center window because I need that view too.

Hope it works for you. As long it is just mostly for rain, it should be fine.

Back in 1983 when I purchased my 22' CD I took the port electric wiper and moved it to the center window. Then installed the manual wiper from the ctr. window into the port position. It has worked for 33 yrs.

My present CD only has a port and stbd window so no problem.

That's the same unit I installed on the 22 and 25.
Even though I use Rain-X on the windows it's nice to be able to clear the center windshield with a single swipe.
Simple install, well worth the money.

X2 on the rainx. Simple solution and no holes drilled.

I ordered one, from the factory as an option, on my new 25 as I thought I'd like one there as my old 25 didn't have one. I don't. The window won't open all the way. I'm taking it off.

I installed the same wiper on Journey On. Window opens all the way, I guess it depends on the installation. When it needs wiping and I'm busy, Judy gives it a couple of wipes and now I can see out of the center window, a great help.

used Rain_X and it was not a success. Probably me.

Interesting. Did you use the same as the factory? I many need to see if I can tweak it before I give up and take it off.

Ken,

I think you should just give up, remove the wiper, and sell it really cheap on the 'brats' Laughing

I used the Sea Dog, as in the first post above. It's manual, just drilled one hole, everything works ok. Don't know that the factory installs a center windshield wiper, they may.

They have a factory option ($450) and they add the center wiper. They have neat little covers for them now that were not on my 2007. Wish they would have stated that it would stop the window from opening all the way.

This is how far with center window will open. Most of my boating for the time being will be in Florida. I want the window to open all the way!

Well, ken, it looks like the boat's horn is hitting either the wiper or window. So, you can set most windshield wipers to park either left or right. If it's parked so it's hitting the horn, park it on the other side. Or relocate the horn.

BTW, I don't think my center window has been opened any wider. But then I don't live in Florida.

Horn not hitting. It's the wiper.
