Hi Dave,
Glad you made it! Had some last-minute work commitments that kept me on shore today. Did Eddie Cantor make the cruise?
Best Regards, Leo. _________________ inbetween boats (not including my canoe, kayak, and inflatable) |

Some quick notes on one great little day cruise. Some December days are gems, blue sky, water like glass...unfortunately, this wasn't one of them! Raining when we left Fall City, actually cleared up a bit at Coulon. Made radio contact with Joe (and Ann) on Miss Mirth, met up with them at south end of Mercer Island. Some heavy waters in the lake south of the I-90 bridge (I always maintained that is because south of the bridge is salt water and north of the bridge is fresh water - Joe had to ponder that one...) On to Portage Bay, met up with David on Anna Leigh and Dave on Sea Shift - maybe the last voyage for Dave in the 16 footer. Through the Montlake Cut, across Lake Union, up the Ship Canal to the locks - it would have been a perfect day to lock through, nobody there, but we turned around. Back to Fisherman's Terminal, tied up at the public dock where Fred greeted us. Fred and Robbin, Brock and Jim and Laurie joined us for a great lunch at Chinook's, headed back. But wait - there's more! While scanning Dave heard a CG report of a capsized vessel near the 520 bridge, which is pretty much where we were. End of story, it was a sailboat that had righted by the time Dave contacted it (correct me if this is wrong, Dave), and Dave left things in the capable hands of the Seattle Police. For us, uneventful trip back to Coulon, by then raining pretty good. Great day, great company! A few photos in the December Day Cruise album...Now, where are we cruising in January? _________________

Well, I was kind of hoping for another one too, the kind where the bottom (of the boat, that is) gets wet... Moskwass wrote: | the january cruise is a land locked cruise to the boat show (don't cha know) |
