See, Leo did it again! Actually Dave did it this time, so he now is our official soothsayer and date picker! I am aiming to launch at Coulon at 9:00 am, but more realistically it will be 9:30 am, knowing how the fam moves in the morning (like slugs). Dave - what time is daybreak, and what are you going to do until the rest of us get there? VHF contact is a must, channel 68 (MIKE - say it 10 time: C-Brats monitor channel 68 when cruising together or TRYING to cruise together - NOT channel 16!) And I presume lunch is at Fisherman's Terminal, what time exactly or approximately will the Catmans (Catmen?) be arriving there? Noon, noon-thirty, one-ish? What time is dark? Somewhere around 4:30 pm? Guess I could go check that out...SOME little degree of coordination would probably be allowable even for us Brats!

What time is everyone going to launch? I was thinking around daybreak, so there is plenty of time to cruise, meet Mr. and Mrs. Catman for lunch, bring CM back and be out of the water before darkness sets in.
I'm planning on launching at Magnuson Park, then I suppose we can hail each other on the VHF to establish a meeting area. |

Pat, you asked what time daybreak is.......On a day that I go out in the boat the sun is shining brightly at 0400 HRS (but that's because I have such a big smile on my face as I roll out of bed!)
Actually, daybreak is about 0645 HRS, but since I'm guessing I'd be all alone out there at that time , I guess I'll relent and be on the lake by 0900. As always we can have latitude with the actual time, I don't really mind waiting on the boat and enjoying a hot cup of coffee.
Catman....what time is lunch at Fisherman's Terminal?
Is anyone else launching at Magnuson Park? If so, when? _________________ Dave S.

Joe and I were out on Lake Washington for a couple of hours this AM. It was beautiful;no wind, water like glass. some sun and blue sky peekin' through. See you next weekend. _________________ MartyP

The Catmans/Catmen can be at Chinooks earlier than 1pm (or later) but not earlier than 11:30am. Someone needs to settle on a time and we'll be there.
Thanks in advance to the C-Dory that escorts Catman to Coulon. Deposit one fluffy, happy Catman at Coulon and an assortment of homemade Christmas cookies will be yours.
Thanks. cb |

How about 1200 HRS (High Noon)? That way we're not rushed for lunch and it will give those that need to "be on the road" before dark enough time. |

Brock,
So who the heck is Eddie Cantor? Did he own a C-Dory?

Good question, Leo, and when you find out let me know. Actually, he's just some dude with a famous quote in the Famous Quotations book, until Da Nerd reveals his life history ala the Illudiam Q38, and that little martian who's name I forgot again.
I like that statement because in today's wild world full of late, self-absorbed, speeding people, his timeless suggestion speaks to me. |

Leo -
I figured that Cantor charactor would be one of your favorites. His biggest album was called "Makin' Whoopee With Banjo Eyes".
Pat - What VHF channel you figure you'll be on? _________________ TyBoo Mike

Hey gang,
Sounds much like a plan.
Pat, Anne and I (on Miss Mirth) will be leaving Newport marina around 9:00 then. If you are going to cruise up the east side of the lake, then we can meet you on the way up. If not, then we'll go up to the montlake cut and hang out. Now, what was that channel we should listen to?
I'm guessing you guys know where the lunch place is so we can follow?
Should be fun. |

I hope someone knows where lunch is, 'cause I don't......guess I'll just listen to any channel that has a "6" in it and I'll find it.
Montlake Cut area sounds good to me. If we're on different channels, maybe we'll at least see each other and can wave out arm signals. |

If we get Laurna Jo back, we will try to launch at Coulon , around 9 or so. As for Magnuson Park ,is that south or north of Coulon? I guess my question: Is it further to drive to for us coming up 167 from Puyallup?
Also we know the lunch place at Fisherman's Terminal. We "docked and dined" there this summer. Chinook's is the name. Cat-Folks if you get there early, or before we show up maybe you can let them know there is a bunch of us coming so we might be able to dine close to each other? Or maybe when we know how many of us are cruising in, we can call on the phone and let them know too. Am sure it will work out just fine.

Eddie Cantor - I am old enough to vaguely remember him. He was a vaudville entertainer, radio & TV. A quick Google check gives his life as 1892 to 1964. He was a pal of Al Jolson's - and don't ask who Al Jolson was! Leo Smith wrote: | Brock,

Chinook's doesn't take reservations - no matter the bribe. Catman and I will try and get to the restaurant early but no guarantees. They shouldn't be packed at Noon - famous last words. Let's figure out the munching/lunching head count on Friday by Noon.
For those that don't know, the southern tip of Lake Washington is Coulon Park. Can't go further south via water unless you are salmon or water fowl enjoying a float in or on Cedar River.
