Here all of us "Right Coasters" are ready to turn in for the nite....1am by the way, and not a single picture of the Factory Shindig to be seen on this web site. I would have thought that at least one of your PNW's would have shown us who were not able to attend the common coursity to provide photos of what we were missing.
After all some of us back here in the Eastern Time Zone were routing for your Seahawks today and will be hoping to see them at the Superbowl.
I know the Factory has a computer with internet connection, so don't give us the lame excuse that you didn't have a computer....that you were too full of beer and munchies...might work....or that you were to wet to handle electric appliances but those are about the only ones that we will cut you any slack on.
Don't let us wake up on Sunday morning and not find some info.... _________________ Mike Taylor

Hi All,
Just got back to the motel from the C-/Dory shindig. Fantastic get-together. I didn't think they could top last year but I was wrong! Over 150 friendly C-Brats, great food, drink, and even a garage sale on extra parts from the factory. Couldn't get any better. _________________ Ken Trease

Hear, hear. Great time. It is a great chance to put faces to boat names and e-mail addresses. Love looking at all of the boats in various stages of completion. The "garage sale" was much fun as well. R-Matey took many pictures, hope they will post soon. _________________ Janet & Chris without CD22 Luna C

WE'RE BAAAAAK!
and oh what a great time.....a real Hawaiian Luau (as in summoned to dinner with the sound of the conch shell blowing, then feasting on a whole roasted pig, salmon, shrimp, chicken breasts, pasta, salads, etc. etc. Many bottles of wine, Snoqualamie Falls Beer keg, and soda pop for the kids (and the designated drivers such as me).
There were many prizes for the fortunate winners in the drawings...(fishing rods, VHF portable radios, sizeable cash envelopes, gift certificates, C-Dory hats, C-Dory coats, C-Dory t-shirts, massages, several dozens of roses, and many more that I'm sure I've mistakenly overlooked) these donations came from C-Dory, their vendors, and others that have an intimate interest in C-Dory.
Charlie, was the recipient of a custom made C-Dory trailer hitch receiver insert/cover manufactured by Roger (Sensei).
(Charlie thanks for being such a good sport about the Seahawks/Redskins Game!)
We all were invited to tour the factory at our leisure and see the many vessels in various stages of production.
Many thanks to the C-Dory Company and their staff (who were present and worked very hard to see that all of our needs were met). Additionally we were introduced to the Livingstons who are in partnership with C-Dory in the new line of C-Ranger boats.
As you can see I could write a book about the great evening and the wonderful folks in our greater C-Dory family.
For those of you that were unable to attend, we missed you and we hope to cruise with you in the future.
Thanks all for a great evening! _________________ Dave S.

I resemble that remark! And of course you are counting yourself among the "chatty ones," right Dan? But wasn't that a love fest at the factory!!!!

I also might add to the previous posts that John and Dave Livingston (C-Ranger Tugs) also attended, and it was delightful getting a chance to chat with them! |

What they said.
great boats, great folks, good to see some familiar and new faces and a big tip of the hat to the factory folks that worked so hard putting it together.
Those bargan tables at the factory where a great idea. Our ugly windows covers that we just threw together for a temporary privacy solution four years ago are now going to be replaced by some Sunbella window covers _________________ Ken

We had a super time at the factory. It was pretty amazing to see that many people from all over the U.S. and B.C. Awesome folks!
That roasted pig was very tasty. I tried to get Cynthia to eat the snout, but she wouldn't go for it.
C-Dory group (Scott, Jeff and all the rest) ya really put on a great party. The garage sale was a great idea. We scored on two very nice Tom Cat seats for next to nothing, and the dang things fit like they were made for our 86' Angler. I downloaded 3 pictures to the C-Lou album.
Great job everyone!!! |

What a WONDERFUL weekend of events...the boat show where C-Dory snagged second place for their display (Congratulations!), we got to meet many C-Brats climbing on their boats (new owners), see some familiar faces and ALSO see a HalfRanger! The hotel was great...very nice rooms -- Thank you Linda, Roger and Lizbeth for all your hard work -- a really nice gathering and opportunity to meet many (I'm thinking maybe on a week-long cruise we might get to meet everyone at the event) and partake of great food, company and entertainment. Steve and I thoroughly enjoyed everyone we met and look forward to future gatherings.
All I can say about the factory tour/dinner is WOW! Anyone who missed this year should start making your plans for next year NOW. What a wonderful time...that pig was (not the Redskin HOG was it?) most awesome! hmmmm....maybe it WAS the Redskin one, eh Charlie? It was a mighty tastey meal anyhoo.
Thank you Scott, Jeff and all at the factory, and thanks C-Brats for a great time!

Scot, Jeff and the entire "Crew" at C-Dory did a terrific job of hosting the Saturday night gathering at the plant. Great food and beverage and a sincere and appreciative feeling for the C-Dory family.
It was great to tag up with old friends as well as meet some new ones. It's near impossible to go one on one with everyone, but we certainly appreciate all.
Major thanks go to C-Dory, their unique business model, and their appreciation for their extended family of C-Dory owners. We return it in like kind, which makes the relationship special.
Only one other thing to say...................... GO SEAHAWKS ! _________________ Mark on Mighty Bite |
