Hi there,
I'm planning an oil change on my 2006 DF140 and had some questions about the low pressure fuel filter. At Browns Point, the replacement is blue and my filter is clear with a black top. Should I be concerned that this is not the right filter?

Im at 530 hours on these filters so they are overdue!
Also, are there other items I would need to buy to replace this? Its only $8 so I'm concerned this isn't the entire assembly but I couldn't find anything else. I want to make sure I'm not buying just housing.
Lastly, and unrelated, I saw a video on the (external) fuel filter where the Tech suggested to clear the bowl periodically. I have inspecting mine periodically and was planning to clear it if I see water only. Any advice? |

I would ask the vendor and was thinking the part superseded your filter. _________________ Brent Barrett |
