I replaced the fuel sending unit from my port tank. The old unit was sticking, sometimes near full, sometimes near empty.

I cut the wires from the old unit and hooked up the new one to test it before removing the old unit. It read perfectly with the ring in the full position and changed as I moved the ring. Replacing the old unit wasn't too difficult, but the starboard unit is another story. I can't find it without removing the toilet or cutting the deck. It's still working, so I'm going to leave it alone for now.

My wife got me a new Lowrance HDS 12 for Christmas. It was very lonely so I thought it deserved a Halo 20+. Radar is mounted, just need to finish up some wiring. Still can't figure out how to post pics. Here's a link to my album.

Just brought the Susan Marie home with new first Time Bottom Paint to allow for longer trips with no Barnacle scraping.

Nice photo Doug and Susan. The black Bottom Paint is a nice contrast to the rest of the boat!

Today we did some more cleaning and prep to put Ari (old R Matey) our 19 Angler up for sale. Aven has fully outgrown crowding the 3 of us onto the compact 19 for overnight trips, and after very little use in the last two years, it's time to move on toward retirement and bigger house sized boating. We will miss her and she was so good to us for 122 nights onboard since 2014. Should have a full ad posted by the weekend.

Greg, wish you well in this sale and to the beginning of the next boating chapter. I have enjoyed watching all of your modifications and additions to Ari over the years. Ari is not the standard C-Dory 19. You should get a good price and I bet it sells soon. Gary

Even following the directions I can't post an image!

Anyway, started the install of my bow mounted trolling motor.

Greg and Cindy,

You did such a good job on that boat and made it so comfortable. We never dreamed a 19CD could be so nice.

Maybe this is the time to say Thank You for all the years that you hosted the Friday Harbor C-Brat gatherings. It was always the best.

If there is interest, I'll do a separate thread on the install, but it's a 96" Rhodan GPS spot lock, with 3 x 65 AH LiFePo4 batteries, Victron Smart Shunt, Yandina Trollbridge 36 and a few appropriately sized circuit breakers.

This motor is overkill for this boat, but this was removed from my last boat with a much taller bow. On the bright side, the top of the motor nests nicely along side the boat.

I am just happy to see I was not the only one crazy enough to put one of these motors on a C-Dory. Ari has a mount on the bow and simple wiring up through the anchor pipe to power it. Always worked well and got us into some tight spots for steep rocky structure fishing close to shore with GPS anchoring. Allowed me to fish instead of managing the boat position! We have a mount on our latest boat as well because once you fish this way, its hard to give it up.

I just spent some time ransoming it along with my other boat from the state and federal government.

1 Boat registrations x 2
2. Trailer registration
3. U.S. customs stamp.
4. Washington fishing license
5. Certificate of Documentation
6. I-68 x 2
7. Zincs and bottom cleaning
8. Canadian Fishing License

My wife says it's cheaper than a girl friend... Wink

Made a stainless steel roof rack to transport my kayaks on top C-Traveler's roof. First made a template out of 3/4" PVC pipe. Then used that for a pattern before cutting the 7/8" stainless steel!
