I have a Tomcat 255 and would like to find out if anyone has ideas on additional refrigeration/freezer locations. Ideas and comments would be much appreciated! Bob

Thataway and others have added a pull-out tray and portable Refer-Freezer in the old Refer area.

We put a chest type freezer (Norcold or Dometic etc.) under the port forward seat, on heavy duty sliders:

I'll find the picture this evening.

Thanks, that's just the info we were looking for! Planning on taking Catfish to Lake Powell the end of July and that would work great! Bob and Liz

Roger, thank you! You find my photos faster than I do!

Here is the freezer slide out:

And the way the slide base was constructed.:

From straight above:

Some have made the face-off the cabinet slide out, rather than using the swing door. We also had room for spare parts boxes and tools on each side of the "slide out, which could be reached from above, by moving the seat bottom.

We ran 12 volt DC ,with a plug under the seat for the 12 volt DC system, and a separate plug for the 110 volt AC system.

The runners were Home Depot 300# capacity drawler slides. The base was plywood. The sides of the base and cleats (to keep the feet in place, so the freezer would not move), were made of 1 x 2, and the sides for the slides to be mounted on are cut down 2 x 4, glued and screwed to the floor (not the hull).
