This one is by no means the best, but I put two of them on my first CD22, and they worked great. I selected this model because it was the cheapest (they were $69 a few years ago). They are also smaller than most and easy to install. I recall having to do some wiper arm modifications to get the best coverage, but that's all (took part of the new arm assembly and part of the original and put them together). Maybe JudyBlueEyes will see this and let you know if the things still work or if they had to replace them.

I always thought the things was too noisy, but the CD25 has them fancy AFI jobs, and they are louder yet, at twice the price.

They look a lot like the small AFI sold by West marine. The WM model only has a one year warranty. I don't have much luck with wipers, burnt up the small ones like Tyboo is showing and replaced with the big AFI's that come in the new 25's. Have no had much better luck as the linkage keeps breaking. I go through one a year but they are covered by warranty. Keep the receipt and be prepared to do a little futzing around to get every thing correct.

I have to agree. That's what I went with. However, mine has worked fine.

I looked around for an old post on this subject w/o luck. However, I found the photos of my upgrade. The neat thing was how easy this was. No holes to drill and < 3 feet of wire. Check it out. http://www.c-brats.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album150&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php

I almost forgot to mention that I used my original wiper arm instead of the one that came with the AFI kit. I had to shorten the drive-shaft a little bit so it layed on the glass the same as the port side(manual) one. The result is that both wiper arm/blade assemblies look identical when viewed from outside.
