Dr. Bob.

That would be great if you could make it over to Two Harbors on your son-in-laws boat. We recognize the uncertainty.

The best to you and Marie.

Jim,

Please add Blue Eagle, (David, et. al) to the list of attendees. We will bring corn to the pot-luck, as well as mild pico de gallo, if the crew is up to it.
For those who have not heard about my father, please read this, and post on that thread, should you wish, not here. You must be signed in to see it.

Joel and Susan.

Wishing Joel a successful procedure and a rapid recovery. Hope to see you soon. If you would like to come over to visit everyone just for a day, I could pick you up in the morning, then drop you off later. Please let me know.

David

What a grand friend....Thanks David but I think I am looking at a fairly long recovery, physical therapy starts two weeks after surgery. So we are somewhat stuck in Reno for a while. Riding in the car is my least favorite activity, right now, but we look forward to Catalina next year! Your kindness is appreciated.

Yep, still going. Might be a shortened trip or full length, still unsure at this time, but Monday-Wednesday for sure.

I can supply the dessert for Monday's potluck.

Dear All.

I am always amazed how it all comes together. We have another good turnout for the 15 Annual Catalina Off-shore Adventure with up to 8 vessels about 15 people. We will be tied up at Marina Del Rey in less than five days.

Below are the food volunteers for our Monday night BBQ. It looks like we will have another great meal and communion on the beach.

1. Pounder, (Jim & Kath) - Steaks
2. Dinner Belle II, (John & Robbin) – Green Salad and Dressing
3. Dora-Jean, (Steve, et. al.) - Desert
4. Far C’r, (Floyd & Eiko) - Wine
5. C-View II, (Tony & Diane) – Pre dinner Cheese, Chips, and Dip
6. Sealife, (Mike & dog)
7. Lighthouse Express, (Heinz & Diane) – Macaroni Salad
8. Blue Eagle, (David, et. al.) – Corn, Butter, Aluminum Foil.

Mike Sealife are you still coming? I want to see Muffy and your two new engines! Hope all is ok.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone and having a relaxing week at Two Harbors.

Thanks to Jim and Kath of Pounder for organizing the 2016 trip to Catalina Island. The cool weather was a welcome break from the Phoenix heat. We enjoyed renewing our friendships with the other participants.

We arrived safely home to Phoenix despite LA's nasty traffic and the 113 degrees F temperatures we saw on the way.

Thanks to all of you for making this adventure a great experience.

* What we enjoyed most is the great company
* What we enjoyed second is the cruising and fishing excursions

Even though we lost a trailer brace bolt on the way home from driving over many pot holes in the LA area, we made it home OK.

As always, Jim & Kathy did a fabulous job on organizing this trip.

We are already looking forward to next years event...

Thank you very much,
Heinz & Diane

A big thanks to all who came this year to the 15th Annual Catalina Offshore Adventure. This included John & Robbin, Steve & Carmen et. al., Floyd & Eiko, Tony & Diane, Heinz & Diane, David & Zack, et. al.

Wow did the week go fast. I was just starting to relax by Friday and then we had to go home. Fishing was marginal this year with no fish fry, but I did enjoy swimming around the string line area in the 75 degree clear waters and having my annual buffalo milk at the Galley.

For the 15 years I have been going, very little has changed at Isthmus Cove. For the days and time of the year that we go, there seems to be no more people now than there was more than a decade ago. The weather this year was very nice and a cool change from the Valley heat.

The only difference that I can detect is that prices have gone up some at the West End Galley, Harbor Reef Restaurant, and General Store; but for me it is still a bargain to be in Paradise just 30 miles from Los Angeles. That San Pedro Channel really keeps the crowds away from the West End of Catalina Island.

As Heinz said, it is not the destination but the people that make this venue so great. We were lucky to make it back over the Grapevine and safely home to Sacramento with no problems. The pot holes on Interstate 5 are now absolutely terrible and they are very hard on our trailer equipment.

It is a lot of work for us old timers in Northern California to pull off the Two Harbors trip, but God willing, we hope to be back next year, same time and place.

Eiko and I had a wonderful time seeing everyone once again. Thank you Jim and Kathy for making this happen, it is just such a great experience.

I was able to finish the video before we are off on our next Adventure, the San Juan Islands, I hope everyone enjoys!

Floyd

Another great job on your video. Almost like I went two times on the trip. You have some good video and camera shots and did a nice presentation. I like the end!
