Wish I would have known about that vessel safety check a few weeks ago. Just got mine done over the Memorial Day weekend at Sister's Bay! Perhaps I'll plan on staying in the Sand Bay Marina those first few nights also. I plan to call them and a few other marinas just to check on prices and if they feel there should be slips open that week. I would imagine there should be as I believe that is still early in the season. Little Sand Bay would be closest to Raspberry and Devils Island (where the sea caves are) along with many other of the northern Apostle Islands. I believe the other two boats that told me earlier they were coming will more than likely launch in the south end, but perhaps they can make it up to join us. And then later in the week we can stay in one of the marinas closer to the south end, along with the dock at Stockton Island if there is room. Colby |

Just called and checked with the Little Sand Bay Recreation Area. Chances are they will be slow (IOW Dock space available) during the week of June 27th, especially on a Sunday or Monday night! The launch fee is $6 and overnight slip fees are $10. There are no hookups, but you can use the park showers and bathrooms. I have not checked with the NPS to see what the rates are for staying on their docks overnight (like at Stockton Island), but I believe it's also $10. I've still got to check with Marinas at Madaleine Island and Bayfield to see what their rates are. Colby |

Will have limited access to internet starting today. Still planning on launching at Little Sand Bay recreation area likely Sunday evening. Definitely by Monday noon. Colby |

Well, change of plans. Due winds out of NW and no cell service at Little Sand Bay, we decided to move a little closer to the action and now using Bayfield as our starting and ending destination. |

Anyone else that wants to join us, we'll be heading out to the Islands at 10am today. Looks like some nice days ahead. |
