Planning to launch at Bullfrog & head down lake. What services are there? Car gas? Groceries? Sporting goods? Looked on line several places & get Nat Park Service camgrounds, but nothing else. Do I need to do my shopping in Green River before I arrive at Bullfrog?

I launched there in 2012. At that time there was a park service visitor center and a "convenience store" type store up above, and then another convenience/fuel dock type store down on the floats.
There's also a gas station convenience store/ice cream/burger place in Hanksville that I remember. For real provisioning when launching there, we stopped at the Wal-Mart in Price, UT.
Wahweap is the opposite: Lots of people, a lodge, and the attendant "commotion," but also a Safeway, Walmart, and etc. in Page just a few miles away.
So Bullfrog was less convenient in the way of provisioning, but I did enjoy launching there as it was just a little less busy, and you are right in the heart of things. It's even more better if "the cut" is closed down on the Wahweap end due to low water, because when the cut is closed you have to motor through 20 miles or so of "Maytag" canyon with lots of boat traffic. Whereas at Bullfrog you launch and you are right at nice cruising grounds.
I think Oak is about equidistant from Bullfrog or Wahweap. |

Do your shopping in Spanish Fork (Costco right off the highway), or Price. A gas station with limited supplies at Bullfrog, and increased prices. Walmart or other regular grocery stores in price. _________________

A third on what Brent and Jody said - provision in Price. And spend the night boater-homing at the Price Walmart! Bullfrog is a fine launch, but not where you want to provision! Same for Halls Crossing just across the river from Bullfrog. _________________
