Hello,
We are new owners of a 1999 22' Cruiser and live in Crystal River, FL which is just below Cedar Key on the Central Gulf Coast. As novices, we'd love to meet owners, in our area especially. We're hoping to join in a gathering in or near our area of FL.

Hi Tom and JoAnn - nice to meet you.

I am on the opposite side of the country, so it's not exactly your area. But there are several folks on here near you, and even more who often cruise in your part of world. We'll give them a chance to find you.

Welcome to our little place on the web. Just make yourselves at home and do not be bashful with comments or questions.

Congratulations on your new boat!

Mike

Tom and JoAnn, welcome. We're in VA, on the Chesapeake, a little closer than TYBOO Mike. You might do a search on the memberlist at the top for locations, if the members put their city and state in, which many of them do, you can find those near you!

Good luck on the gathering, we had one on the Eastern Shore this summer and had 30 C-Dorys!, even some from FL.

Charlie

Tom and JoAnn:

Welcome aboard. I know you'll be pleased with all the adventures and places you can go with the new boat. I'm in Hernando Beach, but mostly use the boat out west (go figure) and travel extensively. The C-Dory is a work platform for me as well as some recreation (I use a Boston Whaler for that - fishing).

Good to have you with us, I come up there occasionally for fish at Peck's (Old Port Cove - Ozello).

Hey Tom and JoAnn: Great to have another SE'er on C-Dory. Keep mine in Lake Martin, Alexander City, AL. Live in Montgomery, AL. Travel to just about anywhere... All you have to do is set up a gathering, and it will happen. Been to them with as few as 2 boats and to some with 20+ boats... and not everyone there had their C-Dory there.... Rolling Eyes , and traveled out to the San Juan Island and back on one boat, bunked down on another.... This is one great crowd. We did a Nashville Gathering last year that went real well, 1st week of April, and a few of the boats travels several hundred miles together over about a 3 week period of time. Climate drives a good time to have a gathering.... So for your area..... Jan/Feb time frame??? Would love to poke around the waters there.
Welcome Aboard and look to meet you soon. Also, not sure if ya check those Southwest flights, but if you have never seen the factory in Auburn, WA, and made the fellowship gathering at the hotel on Friday night, followed by the dinner at the factory on Sat night, and boat showing Fri-Sunday.... ya might want to look at that for early Jan06 travel plans. I met a bunch of our C-Brats there, and a bunch more at the Blakely Island gathering about a month ago. Cheers!!

Tom&JoAnn,

Congratulations on the boat. You'll love her.

My wife, Penny and I, live about 4 months a year in Marathon, Fl. We expect to tow our CD22, Wanderer, down from Annapolis, MD this winter. We plan to cruise up the West coast sometime early next year.

Let's get in touch.

Tom & JoAnn McCarty

We purchased our 22 C-Cory Cruiser 75 Honda from Three Rivers Marine in Crystal Rivers, Fl. in November 2004. Our first experience with the Gulf was the test drive.

Our plans are to launch our boat in Gulf Shores, AL to photograph a friends wedding on October 8, 2005. We want to be there a few days early to enjoy the Gulf waters and to gain a little experience before starting for home through the Intercostal Water Way to New Orleans up the Mississippi River.

We have cruised on the Ouchita, Black and the Red Rivers (575 miles 6 days March 2005), the Arkansas River (356 miles 5 days June 2005) and most of the big lakes in Arkansas.

Let hear from you.

HI,

Thanks for the nice welcomes from everyone. Byrdman suggested we host a gathering in late Jan or Feb in Crystal River and we are thinking about it. We have some pending committments we are waiting to find out dates on, but would appreciate any feedback from possible participants. At any rate, great to become acquainted with you all.
