Maybe I should have been more clear. I had ordered the 1/2" 8 Plait Nylon from Defender. After taking a look at that line, I really like it for the "hand". It is softer, more flexible, and lighter. It would be my first choice IF I could run it through my Quick windlass. I would be able to add almost 100 feet more in the locker.

I applaud Defender for bringing the issue to my attention before I got stuck with product that I could not use effectively. My research on the Quick company and dealings with them leads me to think they are pretty up and up. Their customer service was very helpful, and some of their newer windlasses might work. They gave me the option to change my gypsy with my windlass, is viable, though might be expensive due to having to change both the gypsy and the chain. Could work for some folks, I'm just not going there now.
