It looks like a half price Torqeedo alternative. Add a little U1 AGM battery in a small tool bag and go. I wished for this when we used a trolling motor on our old Portland Pudgy dingy.

Except that it uses a standard (heavy) separate battery. The Torqeedo uses an integrated Li-ion battery which is probably the biggest part of the price.
