Looks like I will be picking up a new prop for going down to Powell this fall. After reading the various threads it looks like I will go with a 3 blade 151/2x13.

I notice that through Iboats they show a "Solas Amita" #1511-155-13 for $111, and a "Honda Solas Amita" #58130-ZY3-013A for $147.

Does anyone have any experience with these to say the difference or whether it is worth it?

Good quality prop, at very reasonable price point.

I'm only going to be semi-helpful here. I have a Solas Amita as my Powell prop and it seems fine (although..... I don't have a lot to compare it to). It sings a bit at a certain speed (slow), but I can typically just go with a few more or less RPM.

However, the non-helpful part is that I have a Yamaha, so no experience comparing the "plain" prop with the Honda one. I'd be interested to know the difference (if any) before buying too, l if I were you.

No difference .
Honda buys props from a number of manufacturers including the Taiwan based Solas brand.

I am of the mind .... use stock props that came with the motors....grid em down in the sand n mud...chip em and nick em...and when they really get ugly....buy some new stock ones from EBAY that someone replaced with expensive props... That way you can buy em cheep and tear em up as fast as those guys with the high dollar props.... plus it does not hurt at all when you hit something and ruin a prop..... it's a real ho hum !
