The committee is pleased to announce that we will do a repeat of our successful EasternShore gathering, same place, Lankford Bay Marina, on June 2,3,4. 2006 Crabs, friendship, music, and (i hope) Terry's red hots...
We hope to make the follow-up cruise a defininte this year...for Monday to Thursday , June5-8. I'd like to suggest an itinerary which will take us to some out of the way places...
Cutter may also be doing a gathering of some kind, but we feel we should repeat our formula..."If it works, don't fix it".....
I should probably ask Tyboo for another listing..How do I do that?

Tom..... I think that's great and am marking my calender right now. This time rather then our heading up the coast to NJ, we plan on spending the entire time on the bay. A follow up cruise plan would be helpful _________________ Roger on the

Looks like you figured it out!
I split the new posts off into this new thread, added it to the Calendar, and made a Signup list. You guys really threw a wrench into the system by starting to plan this event so early. The Upcoming Events list doesn't sort by the complete date in the title, so it thinks you're late for this one. The qualifier 2006 has been added to the title for the next few months.
Normally we would discourage setting up all the fancy stuff for an event nearly a year away, but we have done learned our lesson with you east coast folks. When you plan, you plan big and you plan well. So it was a pleasure to get you going on next year's already. Who knows, maybe with so much warning, you can entice a bunch more west coasters next time!
Have fun! _________________ TyBoo Mike

Wish we could do a repeat, but this is about the time we will be heading north on Daydream from Bellingham, WA, to Ketchikan, AK! _________________

Pat, maybe you could leave for the north a few days later? -- although the Chesapeake Blue Crabs are begging you to stay on the right coast, they're barely recovering from last June's Patty Attack. _________________ El and Bill (former live-aboards)

I will try to plan this event to take into consideration all of the wonderful personality differences i learned in the 2005 gathering. For instance, the need to plan lunch time meetings at great , out of the way, Eastern Shore restaurants...or ever private residences...(elandbill).....
Would it not be wonderful to have about 20 c dorys anchored off Tilghman Island for sunset?

Tom, count me in for the spreadsheet, etc. just like 2005. This is too far in advance to commit but I'll sure try to be there... I'll signup anyway and get info from the 2005 spreadsheet so I don't bug folks like I did this year.

Charlie,
You are truly a good man. Thanks. Your help last time was so important to the success of the gathering...
I know we are early, but just wanted to plant the idea in everyone's head for planning purposes.

Tom -
You gotta check your PMs once in a while. That is PM plural, as in Private Messages, not PMS. I sent one to you a couple days back, and it is still waiting to be read. You never know - it might be something good.
Now put down the banjo and click on the center link in the bottom row of the list of links at the top of the page to the right of the logo. That will take you to your Inbox where you should find it. I also sent you an email reply the other day, but I did it from work and got run out of the office as I was sending it, so I don't know if it made it all the way back there or not. |

Woo Hoo! Another Eastern Shore gathering! Count us in - of course it would be a little hard not to get to something in our backyard, especialy where C-Dories and steamed crabs are concerned.
Have been so consumed with work that I haven't been on line much. Just checked in and saw the post - glad to hear we're starting early and hope we can get a big crowd. This past summer was way too much fun. Tom, let me know what we can do to help. _________________ John

Hey, John and Lizzie! Wish to heck we could be there...not in the cards this year. You'll just have to take somebody else grocery shopping this year! And try to be sure there is gas in the car, eh?

Hi Tom,
It was good to see you at the concert last Friday-that trumpet man has cast iron lips.
We are looking forward to next spring. Pat and I attend some motor home rallies and they have neat name tags that hang around your neck. We will work on getting something designed for the C-Dogs. It really would help someone like me-some days I have trouble remembering my name.

Ouch, Pat.
You know, in retrospect I'm not convinced it was lack of gas (altho' it sure was low). We had exactly the same thing happen several times after that incident, but with a full tank of gas - turns out that the engine wiring harness had delaminated. A lot more expensive to fix that #@$!*&# M-B than a Honda 90!
We'll miss you next June, but sure hope that some other folks from ut your way may find us. |
