For sale is a 1992 C-Dory 22’ Cruiser.

We bought this CD22 here on cbrats Last fall to use in Florida over the winter. We detailed her out, but ended up doing other things and she only hit the water twice. We have another boat, so she's back up for sale.

She was the "Anna-B" but currently looking for a new name.

Details:

C-Dory 22’ Cruiser - 1992
Tandem Galvanized Roller Trailer with disk brakes. New in 2009
Motor - 1999 Honda 90 (370 hours) New carbs installed last year.
Power Trim Tabs
Fuel gauges
Solar charger
VHF
Top for cockpit
Flat grid on cockpit floor
Newer plastic gas tanks (20 gal each)
2 bilge pumps
Bruce anchor
GPS (Garmin 182C)
Fishfinder (PiranhaMAX15)
Origo Alcohol Stove
Ice Box under the captain's seat. (extra insulated)
Black trim
Waxed and cleaned

Boat and trailer titled and ready to go.

Will deliver anywhere in the lower 48 (can deliver to Bellingham for the Alaska folks) for asking price. If you want to offer less, must be in person.

The water is still hard in out part of the world, but it's softening fast. Would be great to sell local (midwest) but we know the PNW is where they're most popular. I get out to Seattle/Portland often--easy delivery.

I'm also listing locally on Craigslist (Minneapolis and Northern Wisconsin)

Deck floor with the wood slat floor pulled up. I went around the floor "knocking" and checking for any obvious soft spots or problems. The floor feels solid as it was made to me. The lines and mud spots you can see in the pictures are dirt from between the slats, and my boots.

MilesandMiles-
Nice boat, very attractive price. Rare offer to deliver all over the lower 48! Good Luck! Smile

Note to prospective buyers:

This is the kind of deal Your Mother and US Old C-Brat Codgers & Dodgers around here warned you about:
Have your finances lined up and/or cash in hand to act of a good deal quickly when it comes along!. Laughing

(No endorsement intended.)

Fielding questions:

I say this as friendly, but matter of factly as possible: The boat is 23 years old. It's not cosmetically perfect, but it's also not $40K+. C-dory fans seem to come in at least two camps, those that want new/like new, and those that don't mind used condition (Fishermen and folks like myself) I just want people to understand what we're talking about here.

The boat has bottom paint. Like a lot of people, I wish it didn't, but it's not hurting anything, just ugly.

The transom feels solid. If I was keeping it, I would put one of the trim caps along the top edges like some of the newer 22's have.

The Honda 90 is a carbed model. It had brand new carbs installed by the previous owner (and a hefty expense) it also comes with the old set of carbs (which I think are fine also, certainly complete) The lower unit is stained and the paint is worn, but this is cosmetic as well. The prop has some paint chips. I have a brand new prop (never used) that also comes with the boat.

The cushions in the cuddy are in good shape. They've been covered by a blanket for what appears to me to be most of their life. (see picture)

The windows have screens and curtains. The front center window flips open (not all cdorys have this) Nice to move a breeze through the cabin.

There are a few small dings and scrapes on the hull here and there. Nothing I personally would be concerned with, and nothing worse than what I've seen on almost every other used fiberglass boat out there.

I'm happy to keep answering questions, and I'll do my best to take pictures of specific areas, then add the pictures to this thread and the CL postings.

I appreciate that Sea Wolf. For the right person, this will be a great (and getting rarer) deal I think.

Miles and miles,

I'm curious what that gauge/device is between, (just to the right of) the Garmin and what I think is a Hummingbird, in the picture of the gauges.

Thanks for the added Pix. This boat looks like a great deal and I too, would expect it to move very fast. Might be very appealing to those north of the border right now.

Just for the record if I didn't already have an older C Dory
I would be interested in this boat. Luckily when I bought our Dory our dollar was near par Now I would have to add at least another 5k---that hurts!

That is exactly the problem. I think I need to wait until I find one for sale in Canada because right now this boat would cost me over $30,000 in Canadian dollars. I liked it better when it was the other way around.

I love Canada, and I'd love knowing this boat is up there exploring all the beautiful places it has.

I haven't been paying attention to exchange rates lately--it's really that bad?! Sad

Hardee,

I honestly can't remember what that gauge is. I THINK it's a voltage meter (??) or could be as simple as a digital time clock. If we water test it before it finds a new home, I'll figure it out.

Thanks Miles, It sure looks nice and clean, and a tandem trailer too. Someone is going to get a great deal.

I'll wait and watch on the gauge. Just curious.

Bottom paint, not a bad thing, just pretty much a permanent decision.

Not a thing wrong with a 23 year old C Dory. This appears to be a clean well cared for boat. If I as in the market, this is one I would be seriously considering. You can put on the latest full electronics, including Radar, and still be under 30K!

Spring is coming early and fast here in Minnesota. Once the ice leaves Superior, I'm going to be wanting to hammer coho a lot more than towing a c-dory across country….(though it's still an option at asking price)

After talking to a fella up in Alaska this evening, we came up with this idea to expand options:

Anyone in the lower 48 willing to make the trek to Minnesota: $22.5K. A thousands bucks will buy a lot of gas. Smile

Anyone from Alaska (or Hawaii for that matter) $22K. This goes for our Canadian friends as well.

I hope this helps anyone on the fence to fall one way or another Smile
