Bell Harbor Marina is right in downtown Seattle
http://www.portseattle.org/marinas/bell-harbor-marina/Pages/default.aspx
On the way down from Friday Harbor you might overnight at either Everett Marina or Edmonds Marina. Good restaurants within walking distance at both places. It might be fun to go through the Hiram Chittenden Locks and spend a day cruising Lake Washington. Lots to see there and you could overnight at the Fishermen's Terminal or right in downtown Kirkland. (Visit the Sunday Brunch at Ivars Salmon House and tie up at their dock). Enjoy!

Hi Larry,

Count Nomad in. We are up for further adventures after Friday Harbor. I just love being retired, every day is Sunday Smile

Ditto on Marty's reply. Bell Harbor Marina is really the best marina for staying near Seattle. The port of Seattle also has Elliot Bay Marina but it's in somewhat of an isolated area in terms of things to see in walkable distances. Bell Harbor is near a lot of walkable stuff. Kirkland in Lake Washington is also near a ton of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

If you stay at Bell Harbor one night and Fisherman's Terminal the next. (or visa versa), there is some advantage. Can't remember what the advantage was, but I did that last summer and I remember the gal at Bell Harbor was very accommodating. Advantage had something to do with both being Pprt of Seattle facilities.

We took the trip from Everett to Seattle, Bell Marina. Actually we cruised the South Puget Sound. Here's the log: Journey On in South Puget Sound. Complete with pictures, including Bell Marina, underground Seattle (don't miss,) etc. The Seattle story is about 3/4 of the way down the page.

You can see that Bell is right downtown and you can walk to Pike Place Market which is a blast. We trailered from Bellingham to Everett, so we didn't have to take the boat back north. Everett has decent trailer parking, not free but cheap.
