Just to Let everyone know, I recently got back from the NMI factory and got the great opportunity of getting to see our brand new C-Dory 25 Cruiser being built. Its coming along and looking great. The new factory looks great and they look to be hard at work getting our boat ready for the show!
If I knew how to post pictures on here, I would show everybody. So any help to get pictures posted would be welcomed so everyone can see our boat being built.

To answer your question Harvey, No the boat is not sold yet. But once we put it in the boat show I believe it will have a good chance on being sold at the show.

Dropped by the factory today and met with Ron Wright of NMI. He was very busy, but took me down to the floor to look at the 25 in the pictures. Progress is being made, inside molded cabinets in as is the v berth deck with 3 hatches open for storage. Met the fiberglass shop foreman and talked to both of them about the cockpit floor hatch leak issue. They suggested using silicone to seal them, especially if all work in bilge is finished, such as extra wiring, etc.
They were also making an Osprey, 22 Cruiser and have lots of orders to start building. They love the extra room to work as the old facility was much smaller.
Looking forward to the finished 25 at the Boat Show!

Emphasis here is mine. (Harvey)

Are they using silicone for sealing purposes at the factory. I thought that was not the preferred component for sealing on fiberglass. Just wondering?

Harvey - the cut/paste above must be the type of silicone they are referring to--eh -although it would not be my first chose either

Isn't that still silicone. doesn't it still leave a chemical track that you cannot get off the fiberglass. Sorry, do not mean to be too persistent, just quite surprised that they are using silicone. Would be interesting to hear the factory folks address this.
