Does anyone know where to get a replacement protective cap for the housing of the anchor light base for our 2007 Angler. Ours went overboard. I can't find a name of a supplier or manufacturer on the light or housing. Thanks for any suggestions.

Most C-Dorys have Perko all around lights. Google Perko all around light cover and dig through the results. I did a quick check and a replacement cap doesn't turn up in the first few hits but I bet you can find it with some digging.

Patty here. We have used the cap from those one pound propane bottles when we have misplaced our real cap. Tight fit but it works in a pinch.

My 2008 22 cruiser has a Perko 1209DP2CHR detachable anchor light and yours is likely the same. The lens has a number "248" which you can check to see if this is your model. I have found Perko customer service very helpful with little component parts like that.

Lost mine too.
Go to a garden center/hardware store and buy a plastic cap to screw onto a garden hose or hose fitting. One that closes off a hose fitting. Works perfectly.
Cheers, Tom Beer

My anchor/steaming light is what I think of as the usual CD-22 fixture and is called a Perko 1209 Stowaway pole light. It looks like this:

I ordered a new base a couple of years ago, and a cap (plus the little mounting "bead" for the cap, which may be in the vicinity of your helm and is where you are meant to store the cap) came with it, as shown below:

Here is a list of spare parts, including a part number for the base/cap.

Globe : 0248DP0CLR
Bulbs (2 per card) : 0337011DP
Fig. 1209 Pole Size No. 2 - 1209DP299A
Fig. 1209 Pole Size No. 3 - 1209DP399A
Base - 1209DP099A
Fig. 1209 Pole Size No. 4 - 1209DP499A

And a link to the page on Perko's web site:

Bottom caps for lawn chair legs, and cane/walker tips come in a fair variety of sizes. Check them out at hardware stores or pharmacy.

I trimmed the edge of a wine bottle cork to fit inside the base. It gives a watertight fit. I store it plugged into a spare 12v receptical when the anchor light is installed.
