Nov. 19-21 is the annual Pacific Marine Expo at CenturyLink Field Event Center in Seattle. Although this show is aimed at professional Yacht operators and Fishing Fleets, it has myriad items of interest to all boaters. It's free and you can register online at www.PacificMarineExpo.com

A few examples would be safety gear, Navigation equipment, electronics, fishing gear, led lights. I enjoyed just looking at a jet drive that I could have crawled through were I younger. It was $ 125k

The freebies are handed out generously and are not just key rings, floaties and bottle openers.

Hi Roger,

I have heard you mention this one before and it sounds cool. OK, I'm interested this time. Let's keep in touch on this one.

I am planning to attend Friday from about 10-1. Never been, but planning to keep my eyes open and mind racing. Driving up from Gig Harbor.

Kind of on topic but what are the dates for the SBS in Jan 2015? Trying to make it this year.

I tried to register, but it said that a condition to register is that company name or title appear on the credit card being used.

Should be free unless you are exhibiting. I didn't pay a fee to register.

if you run into some schmuck with a brown cap that says Elfin Cove on it...that would be me. Knotty-C Don and I go up every year, it's a tradition. We go, we gawk at all of the engines, hydraulics and other cool stuff. I usually piss off the old guy guarding the Grundens stickers cuz I grab to many of them to give out to students..............so if you see a guy in a brown hat running from the Grundens sticker cop, say hello Smile

I'd hoped to go, but am not going to make it.

I registered early enough for the free admission, and have an email that can be printed out for badge pickup. Obviously, it's in my name - and that may be enough for folks to take a pass on it. Mr. Green

Whether they ask for ID or not when you pick up the badge, I don't know - but I'd be happy to forward the email to anyone who might be interested in going.

First PM gets it.

Today I managed to get to the show. (Been attending it for years. Several years ago they had it at the Seattle Convention Center over the top of I-5).
I didn't see any C-Brats there but I did see several folks from my past. One of them is Casey McManus. Casey was a volunteer fireman in our department a few years back and is now a Co-Captain on the FV Cornelia Marie that is one of the vessels on Deadliest Catch. Those that follow Deadliest Catch will remember that the Cornelia Marie was formerly owned and operated by Phil Harris until his untimely death a few years back. Phil lived part time in our fire district and came to the fire house one evening to cook King Crab for us.
Meanwhile back to the show, it appeared that they had a few interesting seminars scheduled for the three day show, but I just had a brief window of opportunity to go so didn't get to sit in on any of them.

They won't ask for ID....just enter your ID number and a name tag will be printed out and given to you with Bill's name on it. If you are lucky maybe Bill can forward the FREE parking pass to you. Wink

Dave, where the heck have you been, friend? Good to see you posting! I now occasionally hang out at a law office in Snohomish right on the river, right where we cruised by more than a few years ago! Maybe we should do that again, but we need you as our leader through that labyrinth of channels and sloughs! What say you?
