I'm all for the USN buying about 500 of these little guys, some way to get them in the water quickly around the world (not a C-17 though, that wouldn't work), scrapping the useless LCS (Littoral Combat Ship) program thereby saving us many billions of $$. Wish I was still in the Navy Ship Acquisition business but, sigh, those days are long past!

Who needs rod holders when you have depth charges???

Got to think like a Marine if you want to fish with one.

So, given the description of what this is and is for, what in the world would a "non-military commercial version" be? For your average mercenaries or what?

Did someone take up the task of finding out what the cost per copy is for one of these?

Non military uses would include security of private property. Protecting oil rigs and cargo ship's in hostile areas of the world. Port security would be another.
