All,
Does anyone have information regarding the salmon fishing in Ucluelet the first week of September? I have fished there several times and after lots of hours logged and with some research have had good success in the middle of August. Is the first week of September any different then the middle of August? Some times a week or two can make huge difference when targeting salmon. Any input would be appreciated.

Dan

Whenever I fish there, for the last 15 years, they tell me I am either a week too early or a week too late. Supposedly, they should be running, or have already made their run. Good luck. We always catch fish, but 2 weeks ago it had too much fog to get offshore for the big ones and halibut,l so we fished inside. Few cohos -- mostly all kings although they were mostly pretty nice size -- sub Tyee though..

You got it right digger, same information I get when ever I go. Talked to people that fished the entire month of August and they said that the middle of August was fantastic. We got fish everyday but it was work. Mostly small kings with nice coho and two halibuts.
