Calling all C-Brats
As stated previously, Joan & Steve will be hosting a dinner at our home the night before we begin this trip (7/10/14 at 5 PM). All C-Brats are welcome, even if you will not be able to make the voyage, we and other Brats would enjoy having you attend.
All C-Brats are welcome to moor at our dock and begin and end the trip from our dock in Portsmouth, VA.
If you plan to moor here and or leave your rig here, please give us a little advance notice and we will help you launch your boat at the local (free) ramp and transport you back to our home to store your rig.
Additionally, Joan would like to get some feedback if you plan to dine with us on the evening before the trip.

Joan & Steve,

We look forward to joining the group for dinner Thursday night and greatly appreciate the opportunity. We would like to assist in any way possible so please let us know what we can do. As for docking, this morning I reconfirmed our plan and all looks to be on track. We plan to launch at the park on Thursday, and will probably pull the boat Monday afternoon after we get back. Thus, we would plan to stay at your dock Thursday, with our SUV and trailer stored there till Monday. Thanks Steve!

Steve and Joan,
Skimmer's crew (Nadine and I) plan to join you for dinner on Thursday, and then stay at our marina at Langley that night. We'll get underway Fri. morning and join the flotilla enroute to Smithfield.

Alma's Only, with Dayna and David, will launch Friday, and overnight at anchor in a creek off the south shore of the James. Will furnish lat/long by cell phone, once we're in place. We'll monitor 13, 16 and 68, and plan on meeting the group at the mouth of the Chickahominy on Saturday, heading upriver and spending two nights at Rivers Rest. Steve, if you could give me a call when you depart Smithfield, we'll time our move back across the James.

I just returned from two nights at anchor on the Chickahominy, launching at Rivers Rest. The place looked great, and we're anxious to spend a couple of nights there with everyone.
