Hi, I just purchased an AFT cover from Kings Marine good job, for my 16' Angler, I want to install it my self, I live in New York and at this time all the canvas shops are all booked.
My question is, where do I attach it, to the top of the roof or lip from roof, other snap will fall in place once I get this answered. |

Yes I like to catch them, they are fun and give a great fight, flounder are dull, good eating but dull. The little fish give a good fight try catching them with a fly rod you will have a great time. I also catch blues, strippers all of the northeast have to offer. |

Porgy Man,
We just completed installing a King Marine top on our 25 and are very satisfied with the results. The rail that the top attaches to is installed at the rear lip of the hardtop (riveted in place with stainless 1/8" rivets). Next, the main bow is located on the side of the gunnel (prescribed distance will be different with each size dory). Finally the snaps and bungees are installed (yes you will have to drill many holes in your dory when installing the snaps). The top must be stretched tight when locating the snaps (helps to have two people). It took us about 6 hours time to complete the project.
Dave (King Marine) provides great support during the installation process (we called him several times with questions). Drilling that first hole is the hardest part but the finished product is worth the effort.
Good luck _________________ Jerry and Helen

Does anyone have a number for Dave at King Marine? My 22 came with a full camper back but I would have full bug screens instead of the window/canvas panels. The enclosed back is to hot for summer. |

Dave does good work. Our boat is having a top put on by King. He is doing the work at the C-Dory factory's back lot. Ours is a custom top so it is taking a little longer. _________________ Terry, Ann & Chloe

Thanks for all your help, yes the first drilling is really hard, I'll be careful,
Is it better to have the boat on dry land before this setup, or can I do it while moored.
Thanks to all |

Rock C,
Thanks a bunch! Will get ahold of him and get the order in (all the wet weather and mosquito bloom have nothing to do with the decision). |

I used to try to catch strippers, but my wife put a stop to it. :-) _________________ Tom on Otter |
