We plan to cruise the Chesapeake in late May and possibly the Hudson in June or July... maybe even do the Erie Canal. Not being from these areas, we're hoping to rely on C-Brats for information. It would be really awesome if someone organized a gathering that we could join. We're looking forward to the St John's and the NC loop so much.

Mary,
We intend to launch at the Statue of Liberty State park in very late August or early September and head up the Hudson to the Champlain canal to Lake Champlain and on to the Richelieu river and to Chambly canal and end up at the St. Lawrence at Sorel. There is a secure self storage place right across the road from the ramp and Liberty Island were we have left our truck and trailer in the past. My guess is that we will use a rent a car to get back as it is about four hundred miles or so. We are waiting for all the kiddies to head back to school so the crowds thin out and the temps to cool down a little before heading up. Because I'm seriously lacking any social skills I do not think I would make a good cruise leader. But my wife is very nice and another boat or two would not make much of a difference. We can chat about this on Friday.

My husband Wolfgang and I would be interested in a Chesapeake Gathering. We are new to the upper Chesapeake and are looking forward to meeting the C-Brats in this area (we were previously in Norfolk, VA and met some great C-Brats there).
We will be keeping our C-Dory Dragonfly on Rock Creek off the Patapsco River. I would be happy to help organize such a gathering.
So, fellow Chesapeake C-Brats, anyone interested? Spring is almost here!

My wife and I would like to attend a Chesapeake gathering. However, my job requires me to travel a lot on a fairly random schedule so I can't say for sure that we would be able to attend. It would depend on the date and what I was doing at the time. However, I would like to be kept informed just in case it works out. |
