Can the Lewmar 66840007 Bow Roller be attached to the existing bow roller frame minus the old roller? George

The simple answer is "No". You might have a different "standard roller" than I do. The rollers have varied. But my roller is typical, and the distance between the outside verticals is 1 7/8" apart. The Lewmar 66840007 Bow Roller is 3 7/8 apart, so it will not fit between the sides of the standard roller. If you bolted it beyond the actual structure of the boat, there would be excess loading on the standard roller, and it would have a chance of failing.

Bob do you know if it is possible to add a pivioting piece to the existing roller set up so it would be self launching. Any Ideas to make the standard roller set up self launching?
