Just thought of this: what do you dog people do with your canine pals when you're dining? _________________

We leave them at home -- regardless of whether the home is a house or a boat. NP.

Uh huh. Any advice on leaving a Wheaton terrier alone on a boat? |

If you're concerned about the dog tearing up the boat while you're not there to keep an eye on him, I'd suggest a kennel set up in the cockpit. |

we leave the dog in the boat. he never tears anything up. You can also leach your dog in the cockpit. Just make sure the dog can not reach the railing. You dont want him hanging him self.
And just a suggestion that has helped us out with our dog. We set a anchor point, eye bolt, under the dinette so we can tie up Shadow while docking. He wants off the boat NOW. He has almost fallen in and dam near tripped Susan more then once while docking. It's far safer for him and us if he is tied up on a very short leash for 5 minutes while we dock, set anchor, clear customs and anyone of a dozen of times I don't need him under foot. Just a little prior planning makes the world better. _________________ Thomas J Elliott

Thanks all, for the good suggestions. We'll need to moor well away from the group--like in the next county. This is a dog who speaks his mind. And he's not going to like this. Not one little bit. |

Ribs sound good to me. JoLee is undecided between the main courses offered & salad, but will make a decision if needed now & is fine with the three offered or the addition of a salad. BYOB is fine. _________________ Jay and Jolee 2000 22 CD cruiser Hunkydory

We've had good luck with the ultrasonic no-bark transmitters.

Is it Friday (Harbor) yet?
Not soon enough.

Leaching a dog is very messy, not something I would do in the cockpit. |

I will tell you this, you got the best pre-owned C-Dory 25 in existence, bar none, at a steal, when you got Anna Leigh. I would have been ashamed to tie Daydeam up next to you, even though both boats were bought on the same day and were identical when new. Daydream had suffered the ravages of being outdoors for seven years while Anna Leigh was stored under cover. But now, we will not be ashamed! Bitter End Boat Works has done MAGIC restoring and detailing Daydream, and she now lives in our new garage at Birch Bay. Look out, here we come in the new again Daydream!
sgmfish wrote: | As you will read elsewhere on this forum, I am new to C-Brats and to C-Dorys. I just yesterday purchased Anna Leigh from the infamous David McKibbon. Amazing coincidence is that he and I live less than 1/2 mile from each other on Guemes Island! What's the odds???????
My wife, Kathy, and I are most definitely going to this event at Friday Harbor -- our very first C-Brats event. We are looking forward to meeting all you brats!
P.S. When you see the Anna Leigh coming into harbor on the 16th, I advise you to get out extra bumpers and other items of safety. I may bump a few boats and docks before I get that brake-less thing to stop

We will be going to Friday Harbor and would like to join someone from the Sequim area if possible, as we are new to the area and new to cruising. We met some folks at the Seattle Boat Show and the Snoqualmie Brewery this past January and were in the process of looking for what we thought was going to be a 22' cruiser. As it turns out we purchased Roger and Janet's Tomcat, Dreamer, from the fellow they sold it to in CA. We will be christening her "Anytime Baby".
Looking forward to many new adventures.. Larry and Elizabeth Cooper |

Welcome Lizarry, it'll be good to see Dreamer again. Be sure to give me your names to help with the proper Christening (if you want to do one). DDenver and Hardee both usually come over from the Sequim area. Check with them via PM. And...if you were to be especially persuasive you might even convince Roger and or Janet, Dreamer's original owners to give you a check ride. _________________ Patti and Barry
