Dang it, if there's a line at the boat launch wash-down station then rinse off your boat and move on. Flush the engine if you must, but then move the heck on. It is not the place to clean your crabs, take down your mast, figure out a new tie down system for your boat, de-bug your trailer's wiring system, text endlessly on your iPhone, or drink a beer. All things I witnessed this season. Rant over. |

Some people don't get it. I suspect they are the same dodos who drive next to someone while in the passing lane on the highway holding up traffic that wants to move along. I could never figure out if they were just plain stupid or if they just had their head stuck up their #@$. I just hope they don't have kids. Ramp nesters would seem be from the same spawn. People who don't have their boat trailers set up right and have to reload numerous times can also be a problem. It's always something, I just try to make fun of them.

people that feel the need to go 30 miles over the speed limit can go around me when I am doing the speed limit and passing people. the next a hole that flashes his lights at me is getting a rear bumper in the face. I can't understand if they are just stupid or just have their self righteous head up their asses. If you want to speed then you have to change lanes or slow down and obey the law. Let just hope that don't have kids to pass on this self righteous, get out of my way I am important attitude. No wander there are so many self absorbed people driving around. Only thing worse is people getting on the high way at 50mph. if you cant drive near the limit stay home. and for gods sake merging is your responsibility when you get on the highway. Use a mirror and dam gas peddle. ( sorry I drove truck for over 10 years with the general population and they suck at it)
Rant over and not open to discuss it.
Oh and I hate wash down racks and just use my hose at home. _________________ Thomas J Elliott

People in the car-pool lane who drive less than 60!!! Just because you have two people in your car, does not mean you HAVE to be in that lane!!!! You are a passive-aggresive moron in a Prius who drives slowly....MOVE TO THE FAR RIGHT LANE!!!! _________________ "We can go over there...behind the 'little one'....."

Got a buddy who has a bunch of pet peeves. Every one of them, something he can not do anything about. Told him to just let them go ... only obsess about the things he could change. His response (heated): "l can't!"
I think all his winters are long. _________________ Dave Kruger

Been known to get a little whackey myself on occasion! Apologized the next day for losing my composure at the launch ramp. It can be a little trying sometimes.I'll stop there and push the "LIKE" button on the Midol! This is the Wild Nordic Stallion signing off now |

There is a particular boat launch that I wont name, which has attendants that are quite rough around the edges. its ALWAYS a zoo there and I've seen multiple accidents (boat on boat) tie up entire lanes for 30-60 minutes at a time so they can swap insurance info. I know this coming into it, and I know that boat launches are stressful enough for people, so I always greet everyone with a smile, thank them for their efforts and organization, and take my time getting my boat tied and untied. I'm only 30, but I make no effort to move faster than I remember my 80 yr old grandpa moving. Not when boats are involved. If people ask me to hurry, I apologize and tell them I'd rather not.
my feelings are, only bad things happen quickly. sometimes people are inconsiderate or rude, but I'm in no hurry to wreck my car or sink my boat.
I got stuck at lake sammamish behind people this summer and the lady in turn who was stuck behind me just unleashed. very cruel and insulting to everyone she was 'waiting' on. Here she is in the greatest country in the world, with a $100,000 wakeboard boat, on a beautiful lake, on a 90f degree day, towing with a $100,000 vehicle, and her whole life is coming to an end because people are taking a few minutes too long to tie up their boats. I looked at my wife and said she can yell at people all she wants but at the end of the day I feel bad for the guy who has to go home with her! |

I agree about the whiners at the ramp. its a hassle to have to wait but its better then working. I try to help people that are having a hard time getting the boat on or off but some times you get yelled at for trying to help. I take ramps with a grain of salt. |
