Not a typo, this is a 27 foot C-Dory. “C-Brats” know this is a special find, very few 27s were ever made and there may only be a couple of the Extra Long House. Pure luxury space! For those of you who don’t know C-Dory, they are exceptional boats. Simple, strong, fast, fuel efficient, with amazing stability. Our family has owned three. Visit the C-Dory web site and the C-Brats forum to learn more. You can catch a lot of fish and crab from the roomy cockpit or travel, as we have, to the San Juan’s, or much farther at whatever pace suits you in terrific style in the lush cabin. This boat is always reliable, easy to maintain, and has been refitted through the years with quality upgrades and installations. USCG Vessel Safety Check in 7/2012. A perfect balance of family cruiser and fisher.
Currently named the Tikibah (fka Sea Cowboy - Please rename her as you choose… that is part of the fun!) You will want the perfect name for your unique C-Dory 27.
Call Scott (206) 660-2302 any time. Hurry, this unique Extra Longhouse 27 won’t last! Simply put, this is more C-Dory for less money.

Summary:
Like any good steward, I’ve been through this boat top to bottom and all is mechanically solid and reliable. There are some cosmetic “to do’s”: 1) the glass on the rear door is cracked. (I stripped the door using a heat gun and stupidly cracked the glass in the process), 2) the two rear windows have old seals that could be replaced. They don’t leak, but would look better resealed, 3) there is normal wear and tear, nicks and dings that could use some brightening at your leisure. If you’re a C-Dory fanatic, you may trick this boat out - as it is truly unique. Or, if you’re like me, you will find this is one of the best value pocket cruisers on the market and have a great time on it. Maybe, do both! Call Scott (206) 660-2302 any time. Hurry, won’t last.

If I didnt already have a boat, I might have considered this as the basis for a project. Dont think my wife wants another boat project with our current one being nearly complete now. |

Every few years, say 3-5, one of these comes along, sometimes at a bargain price., even.
I almost bought the 27 foot pilothouse that now belongs to Alvig, but decided it was a bit big for many of the smaller lakes I sometimes shoehorn my 22 into. Still view it as a missed opportunity!
Starcraft Tom has a 26 he dearly loves and could tell you about the pros and cons of such an adventurous project!
One things for sure, it's a real opportunity at a great price, and there's surely a lot of questions being asked and considerations taking place
Good Luck!

I agree. This seems like a very cool boat for a very cool price. I'd like to take a look at it. It doesn't appear to be a "project" boat anyway. Actually, one problem for me is the 27 foot length. I keep my boat in the local marina during the summer and pull it our in the winter and keep it at home. If your boat is 26 foot or less, there is no waiting list for a slip. I might not have the same slip year after year, but there's one waiting for me when I want it. Over 26 feet and there is a long waiting list, and it's more expensive. |

Yeah, I should clarify what I said previously. I have not seen this boat in person and in no way do I imply that it is in need of major work. By project, I meant that if I were the owner, it would end up looking alot different when I was finished with it.
My wife would object primarily due to the amount of expense that has gone into our 24 and to repeat that would not be wise at this juncture.
I do wish I could purchase it as I always wish for just a little more room. This after moving from a 19 Arima. Toms boat is certainly nice and it has the extended transom and 4 strokes. |
