Last year there was a bus rented for the brewery trip. haven't seen anything about that here --- yet but if it is going to happen, it should be started soon.
I missed out on the hotel last year and just did the brewery. Want to get to the SBS this year so will probably go to the hotel. Don't know about that for sure yet.

possibly a bus, but going that far in that direction might actually be a little bit harder. maybe a local who is staying at the hotel will be able to offer carpool. would be shame to rent a car for just the 1 30 mile trip. _________________ Dustin |

Yes Roger and I will be renting a passager van to take everyone from the hotel to the pub. I drive it so you are taking a risk. We ask for donations to cover the cost. More detail to follow. _________________ Thomas J Elliott

solution found.
call me crazy but when I travel I feel more 'free', if I dont have to deal with the rental car business. |

Gene & Margaret are planning to attend the SBS. We have our hotel reservations and plan to fly to Seattle. I don't see the SBS on the calendar or event signups. Looking forward to seeing everyone. It's been awhile since we've joined in on the fun. _________________ tight lines |

Would there be any interest in having a little gathering at my hotel, the Inn at the Market, smack dab in the middle of the famous Pike Place Market, on Saturday night. I've taken the liberty to reserve our conference rooms for that evening. Perhaps the organized dinner could happen at a restaurant near the Inn (Roger)?
The most obvious mode of transportation would be taking a cab for $5 or so, straight up 1st Avenue. I wouldn't recommend light rail or bus at that time of night.
Mull it over, just throwing it out there as an option. No worries if it doesn't work out.
Btw, here's a link to our hotel, recognized by many as the best boutique hotel in the city.

I love that location. Christina and I might be more apt for a downtown after party. There is also the pike brewery next door. |

Peter,
That sounds like a great idea. Give me a call on my mobile (I'll send it via PM) to discuss. _________________ Roger on Meant to be |

Peter, great idea. The last few years we have came up for the Tap Room on Friday night then get a motel on the way back home. We've been to the boat show too many times, nothing there for us. That would be a good reason to stay over in Seattle. Count us in. _________________ Terry, Ann & Chloe

Hops and Props. I happened to see the following on the SBS site while getting hotel info:
Quote: | What better combination than hops and props? That's what the Seattle Boat Show has on tap for its first ever Sails & Ales Craft Beer Night, February 1st, at CenturyLink Field. For the first time in the show’s 66 year history, showgoers will be able to taste and toast the very best in craft beers while shopping for the boat of their dreams or wandering the three acres of accessories exhibits. |

Harvey, SleepyC
Should you attend the Seattle boat show, what days will you attend?
We will be there from Friday, Jan 31st to Sunday, Feb 2nd...
Perhaps we have the opportunity to meet and have a cold one together.

What are Brats going to be shopping for at the SBS? We are going to look at freezers. Would be nice to have for those extended trips we hope to have soon. |
