Greetings. I just purchased a cd25 with a 2007 Suzuki 150 EFI. I have ordered a manual for the engine. The engine starts fine, but no cooling water comes from the engine block. I assume there should be a stream coming out of the block. The engine has only 29 hours, so it has been doing a lot of sitting. Any advice is welcome.

Try clearing the spout with a toothpick.
It could also be a failed or failing water pump. They are pretty easy to change. They are made of rubber and must be replaced occasionally.

Sometimes mud daubers can plug this hole or other insects.

Without the steady stream do not operate the motor as it could overheat and cause expensive repairs.

First, the Suzuki 150 is an excellent engine--29 hours! Wow--but sitting around is not good for impellers. The alarm should go off if you have any cooling problems--but I would replace the impeller, just because of age.

I like to use either compressed air (air compressor) to blow out the tell tail (Pee stream) or a piece of weed trimer nylon. Some will carry a short metal piece about 1/16" diameter and 3" long.

Mud, daubers...been there and done that. Those few hours on that old of motor should raise a red flag. Probably several rubbery things like impellers are in need of a good look. Definitely time to have a Suzy mechanic take do a good look around, read codes etc. I'd guess that engine oil, lower unit oil and impeller are definitely due for replacement. None of those are bad jobs to do yourself. Make sure you have an owners manual. I also always buy shop manuals. Although I do my own boat and engine work, (mostly), keeping a shop manual with the boat allows a "good" engine guy to work safely on the Suzy even if a different brand is his major area of expertise. I love the Suzuki's. You will too.

I have a Suzuki 115hp. Replacing the water pump impeller is pretty easy.
I ordered a complete water pump kit that included the housing, keyway, gasket and impeller. I also ordered a spare prop nut and stainless cotter pin. As it was i only needed the rubber impeller. I carry the used impeller and kit with me as a spare. I use Brownspoint.com and boats.net for parts for the motors. Defender.com and Etrailers are good sites also.
I bought my manual online but forget the site. Definitely want a manual in hand. Best of luck with the new boat and Welcome

Thanks to all. It was something trapped in cooling line. Will take advice about servicing and keeping spare impellors, etc. Hope to launch her soon.
