Jim & Anne, thank you for the comments & Anne, the quite, broken only by the noise of nature is much of what I love about the wilderness. The noise made by the Mokai is its one big drawback, but at least it does allow quietly slipping around with a paddle once a smooth water destination is reached. One odd thing I've noticed is many animals are less disturbed by the idling motor when I'm approaching them then seeing the motion of me paddling.
