Another nice evening at Blake island. Not too crowded, dinner on the BBQ and some Bocelli on the stereo. Yeah, winter! Oh, is it just me or is dinner much better on the boat in the off season? |

Ahhh, winter boating. Fewer boats, more marina spaces, open anchorages plus our warm and cozy C-Dory _________________ Patti and Barry

Irene and I returned Saturday from a cruise to Desolation Sound and back from Anacortes. We were warm and dry with our Wallas, plus an electric heater at the marinas. We stayed at Poets' Cove, Pender Harbor, Laura Cove [anchored], French Creek, Nanaimo, and Victoria.
The winds were mostly light and the intermittent, expected rain was not a problem.
The only negative was sleeping-berth moisture, about which we've reviewed prior posts and intend to take some sort of action.
We had a great time. This was by far our longest cruise, and we're encouraged now to take more off-season trips. |
