Just finished removing my perfectly good cable steering and replacing it with Baystar hydraulic. After driving my friends 22 cruiser with hydraulic steering this summer I just couldn't live with that cable any longer. The job was a piece of cake, far easier than I imagined it would be. Also added a suicide knob to the wheel. The Wild Nordic Stallion is a happy camper. Vern/C-Dog |

I did the same on my 16. Love it and like you found the install to be quite easy. _________________ David and Kate

I second that opinion going from NFC to hydraulic is amazing This cc-23 is the first outboard boat that has had hydraulic steering I would never go back to no feedback unless it was a very small outboard .
I have a question my baystar is starting to feel knotchy when I turn the wheel I was thinking just take off cap and fill and then bleed in back is that the right procedure or will they self bleed (get air out of system) with use Thanks Jim _________________ retired 8/08 from UAL, still working pt tm

Only happened to me a couple of times Jim, on the 22, but I did have to bleed it and it takes two people.
