Hi all,
After 5 kids and 26 years we're finally empty nesters! The last youngster just headed off to Reed College in Portland.
Ann and I are headed north from Bellingham next Saturday for a couple of weeks and we're wondering if any of the Brats will be up that way cruising. We will spend some time in Desolation Sound and possibly get up to the Broughtons. We don't have much of an itinerary and welcome suggestions and company. _________________ Brian

I'll likely be in the Broughtons beginning right around September 1. Maybe a few days earlier or later.
Probably will be back in Anacortes a couple weeks after that and I'll be spending some time in both the Broughtons and Desolation Sound. If you keep an eye on my SPOT page you'll be able to track me down, or shoot me an email and I'll let you know what my plans are looking like when I get south of Cape Caution.
Enjoy the cruise and perhaps we'll cross wakes at some point. _________________ My boating blog...http://samlandsman.blogspot.com/ |

We caught up with Sam at Roscoe Bay on a lovely sunny day in Desolation Sound.
The easy-to walk to Black Lake was refreshing and the path covered with young and adult Western Toads. My wife Ann, step son Dylan and I had some great conversations with Sam while we were anchored together for one night. We were fascinated by his stories of 3 months at sea, and with his great planning of the trip. We wish you much success on your next adventure! As they say, September really is a great time to be in area, as the crowds are thin and those of us still learning the ropes have plenty of room to anchor etc!
