So for this weekend report. I blame Harvey too --->> HE BLEW IT. Thumbs Down I was so excited about the meteor shower that I totally forgot the single twin exercise. Bummer, sorry folks will have to wait for the rest of the story.

On another front, I tried doing a bit of backing (as in backing down on a fish) to see if it was effective in washing some of the stern prior to getting to the wash deck. Just have to be really careful doing that or it would be easy to take water over the stern - transom - and filling the splash well.

Back to the single prop thing. Anyone who wants to do a demonstration of that is welcome to bring us their results.

Harvey

Y'Know Charlie, I'm beginning to worry about Harvey. First he has this "thingy" about his propulsive efficiency on half time, and now, just because he has lurid dreams (in lieu of snoring !!) he is backing down on huge imaginary fish which he has never caught Shocked
Harvey :
I have this friend who has a Hatteras he would like to sell if you want to really try backing down on big fish without filling your well !! Laughing

(I can say this because I think I can still run faster than Harvey)

Merv, I wasn't really backing on an imaginary fish, I was washing (scrubbing) the transom of some green gunk from overnight at the dock. Maybe being lazy, OR Just experimenting, and it wasn't that successful so weighing the possibility of really messing up, I'll probably not do that one again.

Hey, gotta run I think I am hearing little voices ......

or was it the cell phone........ Crook Confused Shocked Embarassed

Harvey
SleepySleepyC there goes that twins think trying to kick in again

The question is will a single 40 get a CDory 22 up to 17 knots?--probably notg with out lugging the engine, with the stock prop. If you go to Powell or Tahoe, than you probably have 3 stes of props--one sea leavel, one 3700 feet and one 7500--problem solved. Use the 7500 foot prop when running the single egine.,

Now...the problem changing the prop in the middle of the straits! If you have a dnnghy, and it is calm--then possible. Leaning over the back of the motor--risky

Use the second twin at a speed of high displacement, and you will get home safely-and no engine damage.
