when I get up in the morning I want coffeeeeee. Anybody try any of those 12 volt drip coffee makers? Reviews?
The perk riggin aint cutting it, the French press is OK but to much hassle for me in the morn (besides, it's French)
I'm just thinking with the 12v outfit, I wouldn't have to fire up the stove and I could get a quicker coffee fix

Yeah, I had one of those things once. It took 45 minutes to make 2 cups of coffee. I don't have it anymore. It cost about 30 bucks, but I am sure you can get better ones if you aren't as cheap as me.

that perverter may be the way to go but I fear it would be opening the door to to many electrical handy gadgets then I'd end up needing to tow a battery dingy Smile

ya say the cheap Costco one will get er done....I think I hear that door opening

Eliminate the coffee pot and make coffee the old fashioned way. I simply put the water in a pan and add the appropriate amount of coffee. Then I bring it to a boil on my alcohol stove. Set it off the heat for a minute for the grounds to settle, then pour it up! This method makes great coffee.

we just use a Melita cone with paper filters. We heat the water on the Wallas, but if you want it faster, or don't want to fire off the Wallas at all, just heat up the water on your one-burner butane stove ($29 at Target, think we have been over this item before, VERY handy to have). Most 12 volt gizmos are not worth the trouble (anybody interested in buying a 12 volt pizza oven? Laughing Really!!

Why not just fire up the generator and Mr. Coffee? Mine is a permanent fixture on the countertop and rides there (4 cup model) without ever moving out of place on land or sea. Good for instant hot water as well.

Robbi, if I can't get at least a 2.5 Jolt out of a cuppa coffee, why bother Shocked

It'd be like non alcoholic geer....no point Wink

That special stuff Bill da Nerd gets out of the place in Cal is great (on another thread) we've ordered and tried it. It's all organic and powerful as heck... Disgust
