We had supper tonight with Herb and Wilma (Willie's Tug, R-27). Wilma got out a bottle of Italian Plum Liqueur you had given them. We had a drink in your honor. And then another. We discussed boats, C-Brats, TugNuts, cruising in the PNW, marinas, summer plans, dogs and cats. A lovely evening with nice friends, telling tales of other mutual friends.
Thanks Herb and Wilma for supper, and to Patty for the libations. See you next month.
Best wishes,
Jim & Joan

Joan just informed me that it is PRUNE liqueur, not plum liqueur. Older and more wrinkles. The prune, that is... yeah, me, too.
I haven't noticed any difference in my regularity. (Fill in your own "slightly irregular" joke here.) |

Jim,
That stuff has been fermented/distilled, it's the ones that ferment inside your insides that produces that slight but compelling overpressure
They used to feed us stewed prunes for school lunches when I was a kid and we actually had competitions to see who could eat the most and stay in class the longest afterwards.
Haven't touched them since except in the distilled form.

Patty here. Well, thank you to Herb and Wilma and Joan and Jim. The liqueur is made from Italian prunes off our own trees. They are like small plums and sweet as candy. Hope it was still good after a couple of years in the bottle. And actually we were at the Fisherman's Terminal potluck last night with other C-Brats and granddaughter Harper in tow. (Well, the C-Brats weren't in tow.) _________________

WE made Jim try it out first. Since he did not keel over after a few minutes, the rest of us had a glass or two...or...
Very good, we will finish it off and think of you and Pat everytime.
Thanks, and see you soon. _________________ Walldog aka Herb Stark
