Howdy All-

The new CD 25 is well on its way, entering the finish shop at the plant this week. When it arrives at the dealer, it will be rigged with the Honda 150HP and a 15HP kicker. So, the question is which side for the kicker? My general guess would be to mount it starboard, since that's where we'll be driving the boat normally. Only question is, with the extra weight of the head, galley, and helm station starboard, would it be better to balance and put the kicker to port? But, aren't the water and waste tanks to port? And I guess that ballast will be variable, hence the magic of trim tabs...? Probably just overthinking this whole thing, and just put the kicker to starboard as it would seem appropriate... This is all new stuff since we don't have these fun things to think about on our 17' Whaler!

Also, we want to have the kicker plumbed to run off the main tank as well as the 3 gal pony tank that comes with the 15 (in case main fuel is contaminated). How shall I best instruct the dealer we want to do this.

All comments and queries are welcome! Thanks in advance.

Definately mount it on the starboard side on the newer 25's. It will list slightly to the port of you don't. Then when you have passengers sitting in the dinette, it will be even worse. Don't ask me how I know this. Mr. Green
