Hi Everyone,
I keep checking the FS section here daily, along with various craigslist locations, I've never seen the selection on used 22's so bleak since I've started paying attention.
I'm looking for a used 22, either cruiser or angler. I have cash.
Musts: 4-stroke main, trailer.
Willing to travel anywhere in the lower 48 for the right boat.
Please PM me through cbrats.
Did I mention I have cash and am ready to buy now?
Thanks. |

Am not sure about that, seems to me quite a few have come onto the market in the past month or so. What years are you looking for, and of course the big thing is people expect to get them very cheap, and that is not likely going to happen. |

3 of them on our brats list have already sold (yet still tempt buyers). 1 of those was posted twice for some reason at different prices...then sold regardless. Another posting has been abandoned by the seller it seems. Is there a second list or another CDory site with them for sale I don't know about?
Price: Did I say anything about price? Cheap or otherwise? It would be foolish to say what I'm willing to pay before hand and is based on the boat.
Anything else you'd like to add? |

You might want to use the craigs list search engine. There appears to be quite a few 22's on there nationwide. I don't know how many ads are current though.
Good Luck on your search.

Miles, the only thing I was talking about price, and I am sure you know that so many people expect to pay NADA prices and get very angry when they are told that is well under the price at which they will sell. I would not expect anyone to discuss prices per say. |

I've had good luck with this Craigslist search site.
http://www.allofcraigs.com/
One of the last sites that Craigslist hasn't shut down.
A lot of 22's came up. |

That is very helpful. Being able to look at ALL of craigslist makes things a lot easier. Thanks. |

M&M,
I know we are a ways apart but you should really consider our boat. Getting to be a great time for a trip to warmer weather soon for you! Osprey was a MN boat for several years and would be returning home. We have had several low ball offers but would welcome a serious one! You will not find one in better shape.

Hmmm.. Looks like THIS is the boat you're selling, NO?
Only a couple of $K MORE than it listed for about a year ago at a dealer (and probably sold for less to whomever bought it). Good luck with that one. Not many secrets on the brats...
May not be the same boat though unless you swapped out the engine (had Honda with 318 hours on it) and now a Suzuki (we don't spell it the way you do) with a lot less with a tach that doesn't work. That means without hooking up a new smart tach that reads the hours, there's no way to tell how many hours it's got on it. Starting to walk like a duck....

An authorized dealer with a laptop and the correct software can tell you the hours accurately on an EFI motor . _________________ Wefings Marine Website

Then I apologize. Tell us a little of the boat's history please. How long have you owned it? Pictures? HIN? It'll be a lot easier to sell with some details.

This thread has demonstrated the disappointing tendency I've noticed for folks to make unrequested, sometimes uninformed, and too often negative remarks about others' boats, pricing, and intentions when it comes to buying or selling a boat using this site. Just saying. Maybe I'm the only one who feels this way and I'm simply being too sensitive. To be clear, I'm aware of the concept of freedom of expression on the internet, and that I can choose not to read threads if I don't like them. And I'm not referring to situations where buyers/sellers ask for input in these matters. Respectfully, Mike. |
