The Jeep will be fine Mike, I towed Shearwater into Canada and back with my two door Tahoe rated at 6500 lbs and perhaps a bit shorter than the Jeep.

Have a good trip

Mike, I am leaving tomorrow. If you get part of the way up and have a problem give me a call, we can switch tow rigs. I have that one ton dually so I can pull it no problem. I was planning on leaving about 9 AM but will wait for you. I will leave my cell number on a private message.

Dusty -

I know it's a serious offer, but sure as the dickens you would see my daughter's big Suburban when you got here and figure you had to have one of them lift kits in your Tahoe, too. Then we would waste half the day at Les Schwab's place, and the other half watching you trying to jump up in your truck. Thanks so much just the same. Now then, if you want to catch a ride down here, then we can take the boat out past B10 and turn north. What was that you said? Find the second big hole in the beach after that and turn right?

The passengers in that Jeep will be just fine, even the durn dogs, and Kay says we have to sell the rig before we get a bigger one anyhow, so we might as well wear it out. I figure if we leave here at daylight, we ought to make it there by dark. What more can you ask for?

Save us a spot at the dock.

Mike,

The Yukon is rigged for towing and can pull the jeep and 25 yacht at the same time -- mebbe not the dogs!!! Just your daughter's Suburban with about 5 feel cut off, and a factory tow package.

You will do fine. Just don't head South and try the Beeg Pass - that's a no-no. Just make sure you are at max air in the rear tires on the Jeepo... makes a difference. 360 202 9883 is my cell -- call if you have a problem and I'm outa here.

Dusty

Mike,
I don't know how long it will be before you'll be ready to tow the new "Tyboo" home after Les works on it. But if you find you are in need of assistance in towing it back home let me know and I can probably do it for you.

Larry,

They sure did. Both Mike and Kay said that they had a very uneventful trip. Only problem, sez Mike, that he had to keep slowing down to get under 65 or so... rig pulled fine. I didn't expect any trouble cuz I've pulled coast to coast so many times with heavy, heavy trailers, and light, light tow vehicles. From personal experience I've found that all is okay until you get in a fight of some kind, and then all hell pops through! The little guy always comes out under the pile.

Nice gathering at Cornet bay -- many yet to come, and I had to chicken out to make a Dr.'s appointment. Last I heard they were planning to make a dinner together at some exotic place (yeah, sure) -- and waiting for Jon and Lady Cynthia, who were still in Pt. Angeles. Great group, and sorry you couldn't make it!

Larry,

Sure you will get a big update after tomorrow with still a whole gang to come. DaNag Bill, Doug and wife on Stimpy, Fred, Mike 'n' Kay and dogs, were all b.s.ing with Les on the dock when I left, but Jon and Cynthia, Dave, Pat, and Roger were coming Saturday -- and I have no idea who else. Great gathering already. Love our group!

Larry, thanks for asking and Dusty, thanks for answering. The last thing Mike said at the weigh station was "Don't say anything on the site cause I don't want everybody trying to talk me out of useing the Jeep". I was a bit concerned that he was concerned, not that he was in trouble but hey, I wasn't going to say anything after being asked not to even if I did want to know they made it OK. Again thanks guys for letting me know their trip was alright and I can relax for the rest of the week-end and just have at the boat project. You all enjoy the BS Fest and I'll wait for the Sunday night report right here.
Hear more from you all later and wish we were there too, Tim
