We've done our very best to keep the price of the Marinuat 215 where it is. It only increased recently due to adding the Mascoat Delta-DTM thermal coating in the cabin and v-berth as standard equipment (and wow! does it work). However, costs keep creeping up on us with increases in several of the parts and pieces used to manufacture the boat so we're going to have to raise the price of the boat. This isn't about more profit but about higher costs and we're not any happier about it than our customers will be.

Before that happens though we'd like to offer folks the opportunity to purchase a Marinaut 215 at the current price and to secure a production slot (we think after the Seattle Boat Show in late January the waiting times will increase a fair amount). In order to take advantage of this offer all we ask is a $5,000 deposit, which will be fully refundable up to the day that production starts on your boat. The deposits are NOT funding the company, they'll be put in a trust account and available for immediate refund if requested.

It's not our intention to generate a lot of "false sales" with deposits that need to be returned. It won't bother us money-wise since the funds will be in a trust account but it will certainly mess up the forecast production schedule a lot, so we ask that you take advantage of this offer only if you think there are high odds of following through with the sale. We're doing our best to make this a win-win situation for both us and our customers. We want folks to be able to secure a production slot at the current price if the intent is to have a boat for the 2012 "season" (and that will be a little "iffy" after the Seattle Boat Show (we feel)).

i know i will not be in the market for a new boat for a while, but i do look forward to confirming my hunch that the marinaut will be it, see you at the show....
