Great idea Pat! I would personally love to play for the event. I still haven't checked with the band members but I'm sure we can work something out. I'll let you know.
It would be for Friday, January 28th, right? _________________ Peter & Caryn

Pat-
I'm all for it.
Excellent idea!
Another incentive to get folks to do the SBS&CBGT!
Count me in! Thanks!

Great idea! Bringing homebrew to the taproom is like bringing Coal to Newcastle though....
If I can talk Sally into flying this year, we'll be there. Thataway/Thisaway will be in the PNW sometime around them, maybe we can make this a BIG Reunion! Someone will have to go bring Dusty down, maybe Les will do it!

Yes Pat this sounds like a good Idea and there is some good feedback here. I say to go for it .
on another note. I was thinking that we need to do a swap meet on Saturday night along with the potluck.
I am gonna try to get Jeremiah to make a brew to bring down also. _________________ Roger on the "SENSEI"

Roger,
Do you think we could hire the Larkspur's bus for the event?

The travelling C-Brat kitty that we'll be transfering between Rogers has a pretty good start to the musicians fee.
Sounds like a great variation on the always wonderful get-together. See you all there. _________________ Roger

Tom, I highly doubt it. we tried to get them to haul to the boat show and they would not do it. there are some limmo companies that have large vans. |

OK then, I put in the reservation at the Taproom for Friday, January 27, starting at 5 p.m. We could make it earlier if anyone wants to.
We can get an awesome buffet for $15 a head, but we need an accurate count as to who wants the buffet as soon as possible, so please PM me so I can start a list who wants the buffet. The problem is, we pay for the number we say even if the people don't show, so I really need this to be as accurate as possible. If you don't want the buffet, or are unsure whether you are coming, you can still come and order off the menu. Everyone will need to order and pay for their own wine and beer.
I think you will find this a memorable part of the 2012 SBS/CBC! _________________

Not urgent yet, but it would be very helpful for those planning on the buffet at the Friday shindig at the Snoqualmie Taproom to PM me, the staff really would like to have a semi-accurate count of how many people there will be for the buffet! |

Any chance on backing the time up to 6:00 or 6:30. A little more time for the folks that are coming after work and such? _________________ Chuck

All quite flexible, I am sure it will still be going at 6:30 and later - I assume until 9 or so perhaps.

Thanks to those who have already PM'd me that they are coming to the Friday night wingding at the Snoqualmie Taproom on January 27. So far, it looks like most of the people who are coming will more than likely be driving their own cars, and probably could each provide transportation to at one other couple without a car.
So, in order to get the buffet finalized, I would really appreciate it for those who know they will be coming to PM as soon as possible so I can put you on the list. Also please indicate if you will need transportation so I can match you up with somebody local for a ride!
Of course you can come without getting the buffet, but I can tell you, it WILL be well worth the $15 price!

One more question!
Barry (Colobear) has suggested that it might be good to have a bus and being the organizer that he is (if you have ever done the Friday Harbor CBGT, you KNOW what I am saying), he has looked into it and got quotes.
For sure it is not a good idea to drink and drive, so if you don't have a designated driver, this is a VERY good idea.
I am not sure of all of the details, but Barry has a quote of $99 an hour, and is assuming (correctly I think) that it would probably be needed for 4 hours. Maybe 5. Sounds like the passenger capacity is 20, so 20 people would need to split perhaps $200, or $10 a person. That is a good deal, especially for the peace of mind it would buy!
So please let me know whether you also would be interested in riding this bus by PM, and I will note that on the list! |

Pat, your math comes up with a more desirable number -- but we think you had a special wishful thinking, creative thought process going on. Seems to us four hours would be almost $20 a head.
Maybe one of us won't be drinking. I think I know which one will get chosen ! |
